The Farmingdale Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce Catherine Gabreski was selected as our Nassau Council of Chambers of Commerce 2026 Outstanding Businessperson of the Year.

    •   Has made a significant contribution to the local economy, to the advancement of the Chamber and has made a meaningful and important contribution to the general welfare of the local community.

The Farmingdale Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors unanimously agreed that Catherine fully meets and exceeds these criteria and is proud to recognize her as our 2026 Honoree.

In 2023, she was elected to the Chamber’s Board of Directors, appointed Co-Chair of the Women in Business Committee, and received the Vic Lambert Volunteer Award for her outstanding service.
Through the Women in Business Committee, Catherine has helped create programs focused on leadership, networking, and professional development for women. She also co-chairs the annual multi-chamber Women in Business networking event, fostering meaningful connections and earning the Chamber’s President’s Award.
Now serving as Vice President of the Farmingdale Chamber of Commerce, Catherine is co-chairing the inaugural Shop and Dine event, designed to promote local businesses, strengthen community partnerships, and drive economic growth.
