Farmingdale Chamber of Commerce is delighted to announce that it will hold a Ribbon Cutting ceremony to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of Farmingdale Adult Day Care, located at 1 Morton Street, Farmingdale, on Monday, August 16 at 10 am.
The Farmingdale Adult Day Care Center is a non-profit interfaith service providing support for the elderly. The organization was founded in 1995 as a cooperative effort of Farmingdale United Methodist Church, St. Thomas’ Episcopal Church, St. Kilian’s Roman Catholic Church and St. Luke’s Lutheran Church.
This center is a social model day care program offering socialization and stimulation for individuals 60 and above with physical and/or memory impairment, generally Alzheimer’s Disease and other forms of dementia. They offer day care for local seniors while also supporting the caregivers and affording them a little time to take care of themselves.
Farmingdale Adult Day Care is grateful for the assistance and support they have received from the community, especially local volunteers who lend a hand at the center and those who provide entertainment for the seniors.
Farmingdale Chamber of Commerce is honored to celebrate Farmingdale Adult Day Care’s significant milestone and we thank them for providing this important service to our community. We invite Farmingdale’s Elected Officials, Chamber Members, and all interested residents to join us in the celebration. Light refreshments will be served.
