The Farmingdale Summit together with The South Farmingdale Fire Department (SFFD) invite all members of the community to "A Day of Remembrance" on Thursday, September 8th . The Summit's annual Farmingdale Remembers ceremony will start at 6:30 PM Sharp at the 9/11 Memorial at the Farmingdale Public Library located at 116 Merritts Road in Farmingdale.
Farmingdale Remembers is the Summit's annual observance commemorating the events of September 11, 2001. The Summit urges all residents of the community to participate in the brief ceremony to: honor and remember those who perished, pay tribute to those who served so unselfishly in the recovery operation and to show our continued support for all those who were affected by the events of 9/11/01.
Following the services at the Farmingdale Library , we invite everyone to the South Farmingdale Fire Department at 7:15 PM (819 Main Street, South Farmingdale) to view their beautiful memorial area, short ceremony and enjoy a light buffet courtesy of the SFFD.
