We hope to acknowledge others' generosity by seeking (and hopefully getting) some media exposure. John died from a 9-11 related illness. He was my teammate for twenty years, and I'm part of a group organizing this jamboree. A Farmingdale HS graduate, Mush is the all-time leading scorer at the Nassau-Suffolk Dek Hockey Rink in Farmingdale. To the world, John is a hero. To the FDNY, to police in the Port Authority and the NYPD, and especially to the entire Long Island dek hockey world, Mush is our brother. Players from each of these groups are playing to remember Mush. Join us. “We” are showing up for our friend. Captain Muschella gave his life unearthing and honoring his fallen brothers and sisters. This tournament is our way of saying goodbye. We love you, brother. We will never forget you.
