Two Farmingdale High School robotics teams qualified this past weekend for the opportunity to compete in the 2020 Southern New York State Championship Tournament! On November 16, 2019, The Long Island School for the Gifted hosted the VEX "Tower Takeover" Qualifying Tournament. Farmingdale team VEXistential Crisis finished in first place against eighteen other teams in qualifying matches and— partnered with the Harvey School—defeated all challengers to become the tournament champions!

At the end of October, 8th grade students in Ms. Caracappa’s Spanish class celebrated the Day of the Dead—a Mexican holiday set aside to honor loved ones who have passed away. Students learned about traditional foods and wrote poetry in honor of family members, famous Hispanics, and pets who have passed on.
