Beth MignoneI’m excited to announce that the chamber has moved to this brand new, responsive website, along with a new member management system - provided by Chambermaster.com.

Members have the opportunity to log into the system to create and maintain their own Member Webpage for increased exposure; enhance their business directory listing with much more content including photos and videos; publish important dates on the Community Calendar; offer special Deals to the community to increase sales; promote Member to Member Deals to share discounts with fellow members; Post Job Opportunities to find qualified employees; and submit News Releases about your business or organization.  There’s even a social media-like feature that will enable you to communicate with fellow chamber members.

Contact us if you have any questions!

    American Legion Farmingdale Post 449

The American Legion was chartered and incorporated by Congress in 1919 as a patriotic veterans organization devoted to mutual helpfulness. It is the nation’s largest wartime veterans service organization, committed to mentoring youth and sponsorship of wholesome programs in our communities, advocating patriotism and honor, promoting strong national security, and continued devotion to America’s service members and veterans.

The Hugh C. Newman III Memorial Post 449 was named after a lifelong Farmingdale resident who was a highly decorated Vietnam veteran and firefighter. He was well-known and respected in the community. Newman also worked at SUNY Farmingdale, was very active in the Methodist Church, and the Farmingdale Fire Department, in which he was a life member.

The American Legion’s success depends entirely on active membership, participation and volunteerism. The organization belongs to the people it serves and the communities in which it thrives.  For more information on how to join Farmingdale’s American Legion, please visit their website or contact Commander Phil Strehl (516) 420-8584.
