SUMMARY:Drive to Provide
DESCRIPTION:The Town of Oyster Bay is partnering with Island Harvest in our second food drive effort to benefit those impacted by the COVID-19 Public Health Crisis. The TOB Cruise -Thru Food Drop is scheduled for Saturday July 11 from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm (with a rain date of Sunday July 12) at Marjorie Post Park in Massapequa.\n\n\n\nAs you may know\, many local food banks are experiencing a tremendous depletion of their supplies and this program will once again give Long Islanders the opportunity to lead by example in supporting their community as they did in our May food drive that collected over nine tons of food during a five hour period to help feed over 15\,000 families throughout Long Island. \n\n\n\nLong Islanders will be asked to bring all non-perishable items and/or donations to the park where the donations will be "handed off" to volunteers from the Town of Oyster Bay and Island Harvest. The drop-off will handled in safe and supportive environment without the individuals actually ever having to leave their vehicles.
