On Sunday\, March 6\, 2022\, at 3:00 PM\, historian Elizabeth Kahn Kaplan will introduce these eight very different women\, each one about whom a fascinating tale can be told. Four recent First Ladies born in New York State are familiar to most of us\; others\, less well known\, have stories that deserve to be heard.?\n\nMrs. Kaplan\, an educator\, writer\, and lecturer\, has written curriculum guides for the New-York Historical Society and for Stony Brook University. She has presented programs at George Washington's Mount Vernon Estate & Gardens and at the International Spy Museum in Washington\, D.C. This entertaining yet informative talk\, being held at Farmingdale Village Hall at 361 Main Street in Farmingdale\, will provide insight into the social\, political\, and economic differences among the eight intriguing women born in New York State whose husbands served as President of the United States. The lecture is presented by the Farmingdale-Bethpage Historical Society and the Farmingdale Village Cultural Arts Committee.\n\nThe lecture is free to attend\, and registration is required. Due to pandemic restrictions\, seating is expected to be limited to 30 people\, and available to those who RSVP on a first-come\, first-served basis. Masks are advised\, and required at Village Hall for those not vaccinated.
