• Accounts Receivable Specialist

    Summary: Supports the accounts receivable function in a variety of duties including customer database management, customer pricing, cash application, billing, and collections

    Essential Functions (include but not limited to):

    • Create and maintain appropriate customer records (freight terms, billing terms, etc.)
    • Maintain and review customer price lists
    • Process high-volume of invoices 
    • Provide internal and external customer service to resolve any outstanding issues; may require resending of invoices and statements
    • Issuance of credit memos 
    • Posting high-volume of checks and electronic payments
    • Researching payment variances to get resolution; thorough understanding of chargeback and deduction processes
    • Document and improve accounts receivable processes
    • Support general accounting function as needed
    • High School Diploma or GED
    • Must be 18 years of age or older
    • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and have IDs needed to verify
    • Attention to detail and accuracy
    • English proficient (reading, writing, speaking, comprehension); bi-lingual in another language is a plus
    • Computer savvy; proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
    Education/Experience/License Requirements:
    • Associates degree in accounting or closely related field, though equivalent working experience may be accepted
    • At least one year of accounting experience - specifically with accounts receivables
    • At least one year of experiencing working in a customer service environment or position
    • Experience in manufacturing or distribution company is highly preferred
    • Experience with an ERP; NetSuite specifically is a plus
    • Working knowledge of GAAP
    • Clerical experience (answering phones, filing, faxing, scanning, etc)
